Shipping Information

At present, we ONLY ship to addresses in the US states, except AK and HI, with few exceptions! (See below for exceptions.)

Shipping Methods

We ship by FedEx ground and Priority Mail.. We'll usually ship packages of 1 - 2 pounds (refills) usually go by Priority Mail, which is normally faster AND cheaper. If Priority Mail will NOT work for you, please say so in the notes.

We do NOT use FedEx Air services.

In eastern half of US, there's not much difference in time between Priority and FedEx ground: most packages will arrive in 2 - 3 days from shipment. In areas near north GA, FedEx ground is actually FASTER than Priority Mail!. West of the Mississippi, especially in rural delivery areas, Priority Mail averages 1 - 2 days faster -- and costs $3 - $5 more.

Please note that there are TWO types of FedEx Ground service: Commercial and Home Delivery. Commercial is usually a dollar or two cheaper, but will ONLY be delivered if someone can sign for it, and will NOT be delivered to purely residential areas Home Delivery will normally be left at the door if no one's home, unless other instructions are given.

IMPORTANT! As of July 2004, packages containing the calcium hardness indicator (R0011L) can ONLY ship by FedEx Ground. They can NOT be shipped ANY other way!

Shipping Costs

We charge actual shipping costs, plus 15% for packaging, etc. The total shipping charge will be displayed before you order. There is a minimum shipping charge of $4.50 on all orders.

Exceptions to our US only shipping rule:

  1. You've got one of our kits already. In this case, we'll try to work something out, but contact us first!
  2. You're in Canada, and want to buy hard goods (like the Rainbow/Pentair 320 chlorinator) with no chemical component. This ships with no problems or restrictions.
  3. Shipments to military APO addresses MAY be possible, but ask first!
  4. Same thing for Puerto Rico and US possessions: ask, BEFORE ordering!

We may eventually be able to ship to non-US addresses, but I'm not going to even speculate when that might be.
