of stuff at PoolSolutions is free, but the archive is not.
Please don't ask.
How to get a copy of a PoolLetter you lost (deleted, let AOL eat, etc.)
Go to the Forum password
recovery page, and enter your Forum user ID, and the email address
you used, when you created the ID. A new password will be mailed to
that address. Remember: Forum IDs and passwords are
NOT the same as Subscriber ID's and passwords.
Find your User ID and password. Look at them carefully, and then try to
access the member webpage. Carefully, type in your UserID and password.
You must type them in exactly. If your User ID is "JohnH", "johnH"
won't work. Underscores (_) and hyphens (-) are not interchangeable: if
your passwords is "45Ck_R21", "45Ck-R21" won't work.
Also be careful which letter you type in. Some characters are quite distinct
in one typeface, but may not be distinct on your computer. Troublesome
characters include the following: I, l, 1, Z, 2, j, i, 8, B, and some
others. If you know how, cut and paste the ID and password from the email
message into the password box.
Also, under Windows 95 and 98, you have the option of having Windows SAVE
your password for you (look for the little check box in the password dialog
box). I recommend doing so.
If you try to read a particular webpage, there are 3 common reasons why:
-> the page may be broken or missing: please
the page name to me.
-> your browser may be broken (see AOL, above) or old (more
info).
-> you may have tried to access a subscribers only page . . . but you are
not a subscriber. Subscribers
have an ID and password for these pages. Your Forum ID and password do NOT make you a subscriber: the Forum is free; subscriptions cost money.
either you have a brower problem, or I have a page problem: please
the page name to me, but include the version and type of browser you are using
(ie. Netscape 3.02, etc.)
(See complete information on the privacy policy page.)
I use the information you give me to get a better idea of what kinds of
problems affect poolowners, so I can do a better job of figuring out solutions.
For example, the from the PoolLetter form, I've learned that over 90% of
poolowners who spend MORE than $800 per year on chemicals, are using Baquacil
or Softswim.
Also, in the case of subscribers, I usually look back at your survey form
before responding to your questions, to see what type of pool you have.
What's more important is what I want do: I'll never give out individual
information, including your complete name, phone number or email address,
unless compelled to do so. I'll never sell the individual information I have.
And, I'll try not to ask for any information I don't really need.
